TRANSFORMATION THROUGH EDUCATION

No child in Uganda can advance economically without an education. Education is very important for children in our community for it gives them skills, knowledge, and a trade to help them to get jobs and be self-sustaining. It is the key to breaking the cycle of hopelessness so many children become victims of because they are either orphaned or too poor to afford education. This is where you have an opportunity to effect change and make a difference!

Ebenezer Christian Academy offers Christian education to children from our community. Worship, prayer, and the Bible are emphasized. We have chapel once every week.

Ebenezer Christian School started with humble beginnings on the 6th of February 2012 with just 30 children and 6 teachers. We began with Nursery–Primary Four and were renting the premises for the school and the Land where it started. The school kept increasing and growing until other classes were added to make a complete Primary School which comprised Nursery–Primary Seven. In the year 2020, after purchasing the land, construction began on the new school which has 13 Classrooms, 1 Multipurpose Hall, Staff Room, and a courtyard. The school can accommodate up to 500 Children. Currently, there are 21 Teaching staff and 13 non-teaching staff.

Our school is divided into two sections:

Kindergarten/Nursery

This section is divided into three classes:

  • Baby Class (pre-school) age 3
  • Middle Class age 4
  • Top Class age 5

Primary

This section ranges from Primary one (P.1) up to Primary Seven (P.7) is usually between ages 6-12.

At the end of P.7, students take a test that determines their promotion to the next level, which we call Secondary School (high school).

Ebenezer Christian Academy has become a beacon of hope for our community. Our school—whose goal is to give children quality, Christian education—has touched the lives of many children who are now true disciples of Jesus. We currently have 500 children at Ebenezer.
